Information we collect

Price alert emails. When you submit the price-alert form, we collect the email address you provide so we can notify you about price drops on the product you requested. We do not collect names, addresses, payment information, or contact lists.

Automated data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log your IP address, browser type, and page access timestamps for security and performance monitoring. This data is not linked to your identity and is retained only as long as necessary for operational purposes.

Cookies and tracking

We use minimal localStorage to remember your theme preference (light or dark). This site uses Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or optout.aboutads.info.

When you click an affiliate link and visit Amazon.com, Amazon may set its own cookies in accordance with their privacy policy. We do not control Amazon's cookie practices.

How we use your data

We use the information described above solely for the purposes stated: sending price-alert notifications, maintaining site security, and serving ads through our advertising partners. We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share anonymized, aggregate data (such as which products receive the most clicks) for internal analytics. This aggregate data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Data retention

Price-alert email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Server logs are typically purged within 90 days. We do not maintain backups of deleted data.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from price alerts at any time using the link in any alert email. To request deletion of your email from our system, contact us at hello@pickranker.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Children's privacy

PickRanker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page — no notification email is required for policy updates.
